WE ARE PA-RA-MORE!!!

WOOOOOOOOO! So I went to Paramore's concert last night (17.10.10, yeah!) with my lovely friend, Bjaay and a couple of her friends and damn, it was one of the best things ever! Despite the fact we've waited 4 hours, it was worth it. So I found it really exciting and new since I've never been to a concert before. While we were waiting outside, Paramore was doing sound checks and rehearsing and we heard Hayley Williams' voice, it was like god speaking to us or something and we got sooooo excited and was fully anticipating, like we weren't already :L. It started with their supporting band, Relient K, and they played a few songs including a cover of "Dynomite". I was excited to see them cos I know like these one song of their's but they didn't play it D:. But their other songs are still quite good. Then this other band played but I didn't know their names but they were pretty crap anyways.

Because you're not allowed to take water bottles in, they were handing out these cups of water and you take a gulp and hold it up and whoever wants it can just take it from you. I thought the water cups were much more interesting/exciting then Paramore's supporting bands and judging from most of the people in the crowd they thought so too :L ! And with these little gestures of passing water around seems to unite the crowd of fans together...I loved it!

After, 3 hours once we got in, including after been in the gross as toilets, hearing Relient K, the other band which went for a while and another half hour after them...PARAMORE FINALLY CAME ON!!! Pretty sure we started becoming more wild when these awesome as curtains came down covering the stage and everyone pretty much screamed their heart out! They started playing the intro to the first song, which I think was "Careful" and once the singing began, the curtains fall down revealing the band! And OMG we saw HAYLEY WILLIAMS like less than 10 metres away from us!! *insert hysterical screams* I didn't know the first few song they played since I wasn't a REALLY big fan but I'm sure "Careful" and "Ignorance" was one of them. Between songs, Hayley screamed and so did everyone with her, "WE ARE PA-RA-MORE!!!" Once they've played "Decoded" I knew some of their songs after that too. They played "Crushcrushcrush", "Brick by Boring Brick" and "The Only Exception" and they were the best!! Think it was during "The Only Exception", I think, that this guy in front of us was waving a lit lighter :L They also did a cover for this country song since they're from a country town and when Hayley said "We're from Tennessee, incase y'all didn't know," I though she sounded like Miley Cyrus lol. And they also did "Looking Up" and had this cute video on the background along with it.

Everyone pretty much just screamed along to the songs it was so crazy and since Bjaay and I were in the mosh pit the whole night, I have never felt up or been felt up by so many people before hahaha. But it was the most INSANE experience ever! They have these mad as lightings and the atmosphere was just too awesome! When everyone's just all jumping up and down as one was off the hook!

Overall, after this one awesome/crazy/insane night, I'm officially a bigger Paramore fan then before!! :D Although they didn't play "Turn It Off" and we got so sick of tall people blocking the way and being elbowed in the head when other people put their hands up, it sure was one memorable night. Will most definitely go see Paramore again ! :D YEAH WE LOVE YOU PARAMORE! ESPECIALLY YOU HAYLEY WILLIAMS ;)

Next concerts on the list for my concert buddy, Bjaay and I: Linkin Park and or Muse and then Soundwave!! WOOPWOOPWOOP! ;)

Toilet cubicle, suicide line and Fringe :D

So I had a pretty shitty day yesterday. How do I tell it was shitty? Well if the highlight of your day was finding a public toilet cubicle that's more roomy than usual, which don't get me wrong it was freaking awesome (Y), then yeah, lousy day. But it wasn't all bad. I mean the cubicle thing made me happy momentarily but I also went to the local asian shop to pick up some food and man, it sure bring back memories :) However, previously that day, I had work. And I was up front. Which means I had the joy of encountering a few customers that were pretty impolite. So that and other things totally shitstoned everything. But on a brighter side...let's go back to two nights ago....

SO saturday night, as mentioned in the previous blog, was the monthly/bi-monthly Roller Derby Bout!! So I went, had my teams' bandana around my wrist and even sat at the suicide line :D Now the suicide line is pretty much just the space around the ring closest to the action and it's call the suicide line mainly because you'll get the priviledge of having one or more roller girls landing on you when they crash. Sadly, I didn't get landed on which would've been super awesome if it was one of my favourite skaters but nevertheless at the suicide line, it's got a pretty damn good view :D ALthough, what's even more sad is that my team, the Licorice Short Shorts lost D: BUT I will not just simply change to a Roughie fan cos my team had a few bad runs. With the final score of 83-120, the Roughies have won 3 games so far and the Shorties with 2 games. BUT, with one more bout to go till the grand finale of the season, I believe the Shorties will pull through and have a triumphant won (Y) LSS! LSS! LSS!

Now fastforward to today. I pretty much woke up and just watched TV all day. I've just finished watching season 1 of the TV show Fringe and yeah it's one of the best shows there is :D Can't wait to watch season 2 for sure.

Anyways, no interesting things left to say so this post shall end now. :)

Odd dreams, lemon & honey tea and my UFO encounter.

So, I had this dream the other night....

Some people from my grade and I were handling some radiative substances and afterwards we disposed our gloves that had some blue stuff on it from the radiation. We then did an EEI (OMG an EEI. Unbelievable)based on the best way to dispose these radiative polluted gloves. Apparently, the options were to burn the gloves or dig a hole, dump the gloves in the hole and burn it. So, taking in the fact the radiative substance will pollute the atmosphere it was to be burn on ground surface and it will affect the earth's crust if it was burnt in the hole. Some of my chemistry classmates and I were confused about this EEI and we decided to go see our 'professor'. We went into this castle type of hallway you see in Harry Potter and our 'professor' was washing the dirt off Brazilian peanuts when we approached. And after rinsing them Brazilian peanuts, our 'professor' would gobble them up and these huge rice balls will just suddenly replace the peanuts!! (Haha RICE BALLS! how random) So, yeah. That's was pretty the end of it. I had woke up feeling very strange. LOL.

Onto another strange event....I believe I saw a UFO on 4th of September, 2010 sometime between 7pm and 7:13pm. I didn't had the exact time cos I was gobsmacked and forgot to follow the procedure for "When you see a UFO...". And I don't gobsmack often. Only when I see something extremely incredible like scientific phenomenons such as UFOs or just really hot people ;) :L Ok anyways, so I was on the computer doing usual stuff like FB during this time and suddenly out of the corner of my eyes, I saw this massive as orange 'glow' that was like 'cruising' across the night sky outside my window. It was like this blurry kind of orange object where you can't see any details on it and I saw it for like 7-8 seconds and then it disappeared behind the trees. BUT, being unequipped for thing like this, I didn't have any recording devices to record this true event cos I just don't own a camera and the camera on my phone is totally crap, I thought I'll do a little sketch to show you guys. SO check it out...

So it's not the best sketch but you get the idea. So that orange thing in the sky was the UFO I saw :D and those are the damn trees that it disappeared behind to D:

And since I saw the UFO the same night the Riverfire was on...many people decided it was the planes that I saw not a UFO. So, I did another sketch showing you guys that it was not the plane! See for yourself...

SO AS SHOWN IN A REALLY OBVIOUSLY WAY...the UFO was definitely not the plane since I saw the difference bewteen the two as both objects had flew past my window. Even though by saying my UFO was the plane, then why did they both travelled in the same direction? If my UFO was heading to Riverfire, it would've be 'cruising' towards the opposite direction of the trees not to the trees as the plane did. So, it'll be like to and from Riverfire but since what I saw is a UFO, It went the same direction as the plane. HA! Take that skeptics!

Alright, to sum up today's awesome entry, I'll just inform you that I have come up with the best lemon juice, honey, hot water and room temperature ratio for my home made lemon & honey tea :D Should try it one day, it's legendary ;)

Oh and this month's roller derby bout is tomorrow night, GO LIQUORICE SHORT SHORTS! KICK ASS!!
Results and highlights of the events will be posted soon...depending on my amount of laziness :D (Y)

HEROES!

As you might have guessed it, I'm on about the tv show 'Heroes'! Since recently finishing the first season, I'm officially a Heroes fan. :D It's just too exciting and suspenseful! And also the scientific and supernatural-ish aspect is as well :) But I won't bore you with all my favourite characters and episodes and scenes although I'll just say I totally hate Sylar and it annoyed the heck out of me when he's still alive in the second season. >:(
However...after a quick research on IMBD...I found out the actress that plays Niki is Claire from Residen Evil: Extinction!!! I guess I didn't realise that cos she's got different hair colour in RE. Speaking of RE...the last time I checked, Resident Evil: Afterlife(in 3D or 2D) comes out on October 14th* at Imax!! Everyone, mark it in your diary, on your calender and on your phone/ipod/anything with a date application!!! It's gonna be TOO BLOODY AWESOOOOOOOOOME!!
And since I was scrolling the page of 'Coming Soon' movies, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 1 (in 3D) comes out on November 18th*!!! Mark that also :D

* Dates could be incorrect...since they always change release dates :S

So, no, I haven't done anything in the holdays apart from working only just one shift so far... >.< and spending my time watching Heroes :) and various other movies. I watched Adventureland the other day and I have to say it disappointed me. I had thought that it would be one of those romantic comedies about two high school kids that met during their summer jobs at Adventureland. But instead, they weren't high school kids at all...and they're pretty messed up with their drugs and alcohol ant etc...and they think it's crappy to be working at an amusement park. I wish I was working at an amusement park! D: And the movie wasn't as funny as I hoped (it was still kinda funny)...since it was the same guy from Zombieland. Major sigh!

Another one was Obsessed starring Beyonce and Ali Larter...pretty psychotic it was and there was the bit at the end where them two got into a full on fight so if girl fights are your thing then check it out. (Y)

And there was I Love You, Man. A bit disappointing as well, the main guy (Paul Rudd's charater) was such a loser and not very funny since I expected it to be hilarious. Other characters weren't so outstanding either. D:

Ideas for the rest of the holidays:
- go city/southbank
- work (got 2 shifts coming up :D)
- film for WPP
- do school stuff (read ENG play, finish DRA draft D:)
- play at the park :)

I figure I shouldn't say 'plans' and use 'Ideas' insead since I never do what I 'plan' to do. :/

Summary of the past 20 days

Okay so I went to Supanova towards the end of the holidays and it was different from what I had expected. It was mainly...actually scratch that...all about manga and anime and just a tad on DC/marvel comics. And what I had expected was half of what was there plus half of movies/tv shows. But I was WRONG! D:
But the highlights were:
+ we walked around and Irene decided to watch some of the events happening at the seminar rooms. We watched the Anime Game Show which was hilarious and I'll definitely watched that again.
+ People in cosplay.Saw a guy in an Alien suit that was SOOO real. Saw a couple Na'vis, Umbrella Corp., lots of Naruto and Final Fantasy characters, Star Wars of course, robot from Doctor Who, Beauty and the Beast, DragonballZ, Sailor Moon and heaps and heaps but I can't really remember now.
+ The Cosplay Competition

Verdict: Will go again next year...but will also learn more about manga and anime before then.

School started (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!) and we had cross country on the first week.
I came 1st :)
had district cross country and came 19th out of 50 :P Pretty good considering I cbf running and walked half of it.
Got heaps of assignments coming up so probably won't hear from me for a while.

Work: I've started doing kitchenhand because my duty manager saw that I was fairly interested in putting chips into the cartons so she got me into it. :S At first it was fun but now I wish I wasn't doing it cos of all the hard work! Cleaning, preparing, constantly checking there's stock, more cleaning and keeping up with orders and more cleaning! During my shift the other day (thursday, late night), it was rush hour (dinner time) so we were really busy and my boss decided to clean the floor. Who the hell cleans during dinner! So then he got me to help him so I spend most of the shift scooping water from the floor and the floor was literally flooded! So I scooped and scooped and then sweeped all the debris and mope everything but water kept appearing out of nowhere! By the end I was so exhausted and I still had to do kitchen closing since I'm a kitchenhand. BLEH!
But since I'm in it now might as well suck it up and do the work. And I'll have to do kitchenhand anyways cos of my traineeship. So soon I'll be multi-skilled :D

Last night, I went to Roller Derby again! This time it's Licorice Short Shorts vs. Golden Roughs. And both are SSRG teams. I rooted for the Short Shorts cos the team looks more organised and sharp. However, boths teams have my fav rollers. There were more falls in this game then the other which it better and funnier! In the end the Short Shorts won by around 100 and the score was 74-178! The players skates around high-fiving the crowd after the game and I got a high five from my fav skater from the Short Shorts, #12 Rose Ruins! And before when we enter the arena, they gave us a program for th engiht and inside there's a piece of paper where you can vote for your fav player from the two teams. I voted for LSS-Rose Ruins and GR-#14 Christy Demons! Afterwards, I went to the merchandise stands and got another bandana, this time a black one so I can support the LSS and I also got my ticket for the next game which is on 5th June!
Can't wait! :D

(Y)

Monday's entry:

Today at work, this guy bought something from me and he came back a while later saying he gave me $50 and I only gave me like $5 change when he bought something for around $10. My first instinct was WTF?! So I check my register and saw that he gave me a $20 not $50. He then went away and came back with this chick with him. The chick insisted that they gave me $50 and they want the rest of their change back. Ok, tbh, by now I was panicking that maybe I did pressed the wrong button on the screen and gave the wrong change but the more I think about it the more bogus it all sounded. My manager then counted my till to check and it turns out that they didn't give us $50 and they were trying to rip us off!! AND THAT MADE ME REALLY PISSED!!! >:( So because my till was up $6 my manager gave it to them. :S Later on, we saw the same chick at another shop obviously argueing that they've been given the wrong change as well! We than had a little discussion amongst us and we agreed we did the right thing and didn't let them rip us off. But I was still pretty pissed and wanted to punch those people in the face >.< *sigh*

Today' entry:
Yesterday, I went to watch How to Train Your Dragon 3D at Garbo with friends. It was a pretty practical and touching movie and I thought it was great even though I missed the first 5 minutes of it. Normally I'm not a fan of animated films at all but I have to say this one's an exception :)And the dragon was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE! So, How to train Your Dragon, 4.25/5 stars :) Half star off cos i didn't see the start but that's my fault not the movie's and .25 star off cos his dad annoyed me XD

Today, I went to watch Clash of the Titans 3D. One of the best movies this holiday I have to say! The movie's based on ancient greek and it's mythology and it's about the battle between the gods and humans. BATTLE? GODS? GREEK MYTHOLOGY? OH MY GOD AWESOME OR WHAT!!!? :P Favourite scenes included the killing of the giant scorpians, when the gods were having a discussion, the fight with the snake lady, when the kraken was revealed it was grand, and several others. I was so glad I watched it and I give it a 4.75/5 stars because there was this character I hate and some retarded moments but overall, twas good! :D Go wath it now! :D

I'm Back!

O.M.G ! Been so long since I've blogged and I apologise for my devoted readers but I blame school for taking up my spare time. But now with my assessments nearly (one more left) over, I can blog again! :D

Okay, so so much had happened in the past month. I'll just put them down in random orders as i think of it.

Work: going good. Still got dickhead customers but that'll never stop.

Anything school related: had futsal early in the month. I won't go into the embarrassing details. >.< Plus I got heaps of bruises from substituting as goalie.
Assignments going well, I think. Haven't got many marks back and getting more and more paranoid everyday.
So far I got:
Maths B- B (could be a problem later on..)
Geog.- A- (might change cos it's not cross marked yet)

Health, recreation & entertainment: Not doing any exercise at all. Blaming school again :L
Been reading regularly and I've developed a kind of 'fixation' towards classical music.
Haven't watched many TV shows/movies lately as well. Only Cougar Town, How I Met Your Mother and sometimes V and Thank God Your Here.

Plans for holidays!: PLAY. WORK. STUDY.
Movies on my list:
+ Dear John
+ Clash of the Titans
+ The Bounty Hunter
And maybe:
+ How to Train Your Dragon (3D)
+ The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
Ones I'll probably wait till the DVDs comes out:
+ The Last Song
+ Remember Me
+ The Blind Side
+ Shutter Island
+ The Hurt Locker

Plus lot's of DVDs to watch :)
Gonna get lots of excerises in (hopefully) and try to get lots of hours at work :)

A scene at the beach.

Remember how I told you guys about my painting hobby during the holidays? Well here's one of them...

As you can see it's not the most realistic painting but whateverrrrrr. And yes, I know there's retarded lines everywhere especially on the wave.

A night view of a lonely island

This one's more in proportion as you can see...
haha

I have another one that I haven't finished yet, and it's taking me forever. But stay tuned for the next master piece :)

Today is the first day of the chinese new years...as well as valentines day.
Yesterday, being chinese new years eve, asian families like mine would gather together and have dinner...which is what we did. At Buffet Garden. I have to say it was a bit dull compare to other times but the food was still yum yum yum. And I get to see all my awesome cousins and families..and you know that warm fuzzy feeling you get at family get-togethers? Well I didn't feel that...probably because my brother's there..but anyways.
After dinner...some of us went back to aunty's house and do what we do every year. And that is...the adults will be watching some lame as chinese new years celebratory show that goes till about 2 o'clock in the morning. The kids will be up stairs watching some movie.
And this year I watched the coolest movie ever: Resident Evil II !!! AWESOME OR WHAT!
I wasn't gonna watch it cos they got annoying chinese subtitles but then I heard the chick said, "Everyone died...but they didn't stay dead." WHOA :O A freaking awesome zombie movie! I'm up for it! Favourite characters: Alice cos of what she did in the church (totally super freaking awesome) and Valentine cos of what she did in the police station (also totally super freaking awesome). Must watch the first and third one as well. :)

After the movie I watched a bit of the XXI Olympic Winter Games- Vancouver 2010 opening ceremony...WAS SO BORING! The cool bit was probably when they were showing the images on the sheet's thingy...but they had these hairy emo scottish (dunno why they're scottish when it's in Canada..)men with fake as tattoos doing tap dancing and playing the violin...Mmm...weird.
After an agonising hour of watching crap tv...finally went home around 1am. So let's just say I was still tired when I went to work later in the morning.

At work: work was average..apart from one incident. This woman bought something but was 20 cent short but then she already left to get something else and so it was just her kid waiting. So I told the kid that they're 20 cent short so he went to get his mum. But the mum never showed up and instead the dad did. So the dad told me he'll just go get the mum cos she had the money but after 10 minutes he came back and saw his kid still waiting so he went off at me! Saying crap like, "It's just 20 cent give the boy his food already!" So I had to explain as nicely as I can manage to the moronic man that I really can't process the transaction without the 20 cent cos the system is programed that way. I know it's only 20 cent and I would've gave the little boy his food but if I keep letting people off I'll get fired one day so then I had to explain that the 20 cent is needed. Of course the man was even more mad and was getting louder, "For god sakes, you already have most of the money so just give him the food." So I gave him the money back and said "We cannot give you the food without the 20 cent." And he started saying stuff like how our store is so crap and they'll never buy from us again. And I was just standing there thinking , "Omg this guy's freaking embarrassing me. Fuck off already!" And there were other customers standing around once again...was truely another FML moment. And even more ridiculously, the mum came up and said she wanna file a complaint form! WTF!? where was she 10 minutes ago?! Could've just pay the 20 cent and everyone will be happy. Jeez!
So for the rest of the shift I felt pretty crappy so after work I got a Boost and a kebab :)

That shall be all...remember to watch the Olympic Winter Games everyone! :)

oh and I watched Cougar town on thursday...mad as show :D

Whole chicken strikes again.

Mmm...where to start? Well, some wise person told me it'll be easier to start from the beginning, but there is no beginning so I guess I'll just write them as they come into mind.

So, had work today. Hate how we're always the last ones to close on sunday afternoons. Cos that way all the customer always come to our place when they see the other places closed and we then end up rushing everything (eg. getting the last orders out + cleaning process). So today just before closing we had heaps of customers and since it was just me up front (lucky me...*note the sarcasism*), I was rushigng around getting people's orders and handing out orders. And customers kept coming back and complaining about how there isn't enough salt on their chips or not enough chips with their chicken. Well FYI all you annoying people! If you wanted extra salt you could've said when you were ordering! DAMMIT!
Well, it could've been partly our fault with the chips with chicken part cos our kitchen hand (let's call him Teddy cos I shouldn't mention his real name), think it's cos it's been a long day and he just wanna go home or something, wasn't putting enough chips in the boxes so we kept having people coming back. Anyways, and while I was handling one of the orders, which included a whole chicken, because we put whole chickens in a paper/aluminium foil bag, I was holding it by the top bit and then the chicken fell through the bottom! REPEAT! THE CHICKEN FELL THROUGH THE BOTTOM OF THE FREAKING BAG! So it was really busy, all the customers were waiting, only one kitchen-hand so took a while to get the foods made, and I was just waiting there with a chicken on the freaking bench and the broken bag in my hand! First of all it was way too random, secondly all the customers were staring and pretty sure some rude ones were laughing, and I was panicing that the foods were taking so long. First thought? FML! So I yelled at Teddy to come get the chicken off the bench with some equipment cos then customers will then complain about how unhygienic we are. After the chicken incident...things got better and we satisfied all the customers and then we're closed! And after we closed I had to re-stock, sweep & scrub & mop the floor, wipe over all the benches + tills, take the sign down and re-stock the fridge. So that's all in a day's work.

Another thing...my internet and iTune's are being little bitches and isn't functioning properly and that's pissing me off >:(

School, school, school....school's fine. So far alright. I joined the softball team...gotta be the worst mistake this year. Haven't gotten into the tough part (assessment times) yet, I'm bracing myself for it.

Went to my dear friend Erika's party on saturday night. Was fun. I had fun jumping into the pool with my clothes on. It was a dare and I, Jade, never backs down from a dare.

One last thing...I should cut down on the amount of hairspray I'm using.

I saw a sign!

Have you seen something or did something or have something happened to you and you just took it as a sign? I did! :)
Well today, After I woke up from a very messed-up and disturbing dream, I decided to cook some eggs for breakfast. So while I was heating up the frying pan I was standing there and just staring at it. Until I realised...after about 5 minutes, that the pan should be really hot by now! So after a quick second thinking about what a noob I was, I grabbed an egg and cracked it on the bench and put it in the pan. But it never made it in the pan. Apparently I cracked the egg too hard, I practically smashed the whole thing on the bench and only a bit of egg white landed in the pan and was cooking very fast and already making loud sizzling noises. So in my head I was thinking, "OH CRAP!", while I tried to mop up the egg with paper towels but the paper towels just won't soak up the egg! So...with the loud sizzling (it's like urging me to hurry up!), the paper towels not responding to my psychic messages for it to soak up the egg and the fear of the chances that the frying pan might just get over-heated and explodes and I'll get into trouble with my parents all while just cooking some eggs. In the end, after the madness of trying to clean the bench and at lease put some eggs in the pan, I decided that the sizzling had gotten to me so I obeyed it's commands and focused on cooking the eggs instead.

After the egg thing, I was unaware that another unfortunate event was going to happen. While walking to school in the lovely breeze and warm sunshine, some retarded moron (from my school *sigh*)nearly ran over me with his damn bike! Seriously, people like that shouldn't even allow to be in the same space as a bike! We started from opposite side of a pedestrian crossing and when the light went green, I made my way across and he practically rode straight at me! At first thought I was thinking, "WTF, he's gonna change direction or what?", and as he got closer,I stepped slightly to the left and he did too...but to his right so he's still in my way! When it's the contact point, he obviously didn't choose to turn his bike the other way and practically ran into my right arm! And he didn't even continue on, he just stopped in the middle of the road obviously dunno what to do when in a situation like that. And the whole time I was just thinking, "OMFG, OMFG, OMFG. What a bloody idiot!" and trying to fight the urge to whack his helmet in. Tsk tsk, people these days.

So after the bike thing...I remembered the egg thing...and with the two things in mind...I took it as a sign! And that is, today might be a terrible day! But then it actually turned out fine :) I enjoyed my classes, signed up for the futsal team (yay!) and actually remembered to bring lunch money so I didn't starve!

Success! :)

...

I have to admit school redeemed itself on friday. Finally had work prep. and geography which turned out to be one of my fav classes :) Since there's no assignments in work prep. and we have like the smallest class for geography, only have about 12-14 people altogether. Yay! :L

Need to sort out my traineeship day with my boss because I love sport too much to give up interschool sport. I've put my name down for softball (softball and touch were the only sports girls can choose from :S And since I never liked touch, I've decided to join softball to bring back old memories :D)so hopefully I'll get to play.

Wasted the whole of yesterday by spending time on internet doing nothing, had a nap that took up most of the arvo, watched a french movie, finished reading a book and on internet again telling the blogging world about my lame as day.
I've realised I've developed a lazy personality during the holidays and now I cbf to do anything. But while just sitting there staring into space, I kept thinking how I should be doing something useful like go jogging/do some excercise (since I didn't excercise at all in the holidays)or study something but school only just started and there's nothing to study but I kept having this feeling that if I don't start doing some assignments or look at somthing I'll fail everything and my life as I know it will be over. But then I'll have to keep reminding myself that we haven't done anything in class yet but I'm still paranoid. :S I'm such a freak seriously.

Pretty much worked during all my waking hours today...thanks to my lovely nap yesterday arvo, I managed to wake up late this morning :)Work was pretty average. Had ups and downs.

Anyways, school tomorrow should be fun since I don't have english on monday :) SCORE!

school update

*sigh*
It's been two days of school and I'm not liking it. Firstly, they (im not even sure who they are) keeps making things sound more important then they are. For example, a test is now called supervised assessment. WTF? my thoughts exactly. So with the new terms, new homework/assessment policy, new ways of doing .... confused the crap out of me!

While thinking drama and FTV would be the worst subjects because of the teachers I got when I first read my timetable, they turned out to be the best so far! While english, math and chemistry was boring and lame and all we do is listen to the teacher talking non-stop. Haven't had work prep. and geography yet so that's to come in the future.

Also, because I'm doing QIP (program which involves the senior kids helping the yr 8 kids settle into high school), the pc group I'm in charge of seems to either be ignoring me or giving the evil eyes :S
And since no-one tells us what days/when we should be with our yr 8ers, it made things awkward. *sigh*

So two days of school and I'm ready to go on a holiday again. I have to say I really miss all those days where I just wake up and watch Gossip Girl or something while eating breakfast without having to be anywhere at anytime. The feeling of freedom have escaped from my reach!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! *sigh* at this rate I rather go to work then go to school everyday.

Australia's Next Top Model!!...audition...

I actually started writing the following content on tuesday so the following events happened on tuesday not today :)

GUESS WHAT I DID TODAY!!!?

I'll give you some hints..
  • Alex Perry
  • Queen Street Mall
  • Fox 8 Crew
  • at lease about 300-400 tall & pretty girls....

IT'S THE AUSTRALIA'S NEXT TOP MODEL AUDITION!!!

That's right, the sixth season of Aussie Top Model was having its Brisbane audition at Queen Street Mall today. So me and some friends (Karen + Erika) decided to go check it out :)

We were walking along Adelaide Street trying to find the place since it says it's held at Adelaide Street on the thingy we saw. But then Erika said that she heard on B105 that morning that it's at the Queen Street Mall stage so we went...looking out for tall pretty girls who might be auditioning so we could just follow them LOL

Then I saw it...a line that is honestly at lease 200m long, stretching from the stage are the 300-400 girls all hoping to become Australia's Next Top Model. Some stood out, some not so much. We then walked past them, checking out which ones have potential. We then reached back stage and we saw ALEX PERRY being interviewed by Fox 8! He was doing his signature pose and acting all macho and cool :L And we believe he saw us watching him :P

The audition starts at 11 and it was aroung 10:20 but we decided to get a spot anyways :D

Finally the show began. Let the search began! The judges were Alex Perry and Jaz ( I think). The girls were to go up to the judges in groups of 3 and they'll either tell them to walk for them, take head shots or just not what they were looking for. The models all have an application form and if their forms were given back to them, that means they were successful. I was shocked to see the girls who I thought has great potentials were knocked back by the judges >.<

Some memorable ones were this girl with jet black hair who the judges asked to walked the runway TWICE! She made it through and in my opinion the best of the patch. Also another chick with black hair who dressed like a school girl and is gothic looking (and I heard someone sitting next to me said and I quote 'She looks like she should be in underworld' Mmm...agreed but she'll still be good as a model lol)who was also made to walk the runway twice. Another one was a dark skinned girl with an afro. In my opinion she was feisty as but she didn't made through :S

And there were some weird ones. There was girl dressed like she lives in Narnia. No joke. From her hair to her shoes, she looked like she lives in a village in a forest. Green shirt with leave patterns that shows her stomach, long brown skirt and leather shoes! Another one is a girl with bright pink/orange hair :S Which Erika said that should be in the circus haha.

Overall the audition, hosted by some guy from B105 and filmed by the Fox 8 crew, was awesome! :D The B105 guy did some questionaire stuff during breaks and gave away some t-shirts. I didn't get one :(

The following is written today...

Here's a story based on true events.

*Warning: The following content is highly exaggerated...this kinda cool stuff just doesn't really happened in real life*

This story is called : Jade's Extremely Brave and Truely Heroic Epic Battle Against...*drum rolls* A FLY!

It happened one uneventful Tuesday night in a quiet subarban neighbourhood where the heroine of the story, Me! :D, was reading Scene (music mag) and doing sudoku before bed when suddenly, I heard an awefully annoying buzzing noise which can only come from one of the most annoying creatures in the world...a fly. Then I saw its pair of bifocal eyes which met mine. Instantly, anger rose from deep within my guts so with all my might, I flung my magazine at it. Damn, I missed but all true heros start as a no skilled loser :) I quickly jumped up (so fast that it should've been a ninja world record) and pressed my back againt the wall commando style. Using my binoculars/x-ray vision goggles, I surveyed the room looking for my peanut-size enemy. Without any luck, I was about to gave up when my fellow villager/hunter/fly-hater (mother) informed me that our little pest is in the bathroom!

With a new wave of hope and triumph, I grab a bigger magazine and charged toward the battlefield. "Are you ready?" asked my fellow villager/hunter/fly-hater (mother). I looked into her eyes, put my hand on her shoulder while gripping the slightly bigger magzine in the other hand and said, "Well I will sent it a message, my fellow fly hater! You fight now, with me! And we will show all peanut-sized flies...that they cannot take whatever they want. And that this... this is our land!" (notice how I kinda quoted from Avatar :) haha ). With that heart-felt/touching speech, I kicked open the bathroom door and barged in screaming my head off. The fly, was resting on the mirror sunbaking using our bathroom light and hearing my entrance it went into combat mode. "Oi, you motherf**king son of a b*tch! I challenge you to a duel!" doing my best touch facial expression, I grab the magazine with both hands and swung it like a baseball bat at the mirror. Missed again..but it's okay, perhaps the third time's the charm. I was wrong. After numerous attempts of trying to destroy the peanut while it mocked me by flying right in front of my face, I have failed miserably. On the verge fo giving up and falling asleep (it was bed time) I was just about to put down my weapon and surrender when my fellow villager/hunter/fly-hater (mother) called to me. "Jade! Have to killed it yet?! What's taking you so long!?"

"Ay, I'm afraid this is a battle too great for me to handle. I'm sorry," I slumped against the wall, ashamed as myself for giving up.

"No. No, Jade. You are born to be a fly-killer. It's in your blood. After your speech, I knew you can do this. I believe in you!," soon, encouraging battle music was heard from the other side of the door.

"We will we rock you...we will we will rock you...". The chanting grow louder and louder.

I sprung to my feet, and chanted along,"We will we will rock you...!"

Newly motivated and pumped, I grabbed my magazine once again and death-stared the fly. "This time, you're going down!" *the following happened in slow-mo*

Me: *on one side of the room, check the mirror to make sure my hair was fine, did a quick yoga stretch, does a hair flick and charged toward the fly* AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHH!

Fly: *on the other side of the room, polished its wings, put on a mini helmet, polished the helmet and charged towards me* BUUUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

It came right at my face and I took a swing. Silence.

More silence...

Then I saw it...THE FLY IS DOWN!!! Laying upside down next to my brush, it took its last breathe. At last, the world is at peace. And all great battle was to be celebrated with a feast ;) Until next time, the end.

Last few things to add before the blog ends...

  • I finished Gossip Girl season one! :D
  • I finally watched Avatar, was good but not spectacular.
  • I'm working this tuesday which is a public holiday and that means double pay!

This is Jade, signing off :)

ka-ching ;)

Everyone, this is you're lucky day :)
because...
a.) I have just got my internet back (actually I had it since yesterday but I was too lazy to write a blog) so that means....A BRAND NEW EXCITING AND SPECTACULAR BLOG FOR YOU TO ENJOY!!

and..

b.) You love my blogs :) I think.... :S

Anyways moving on...
Highlight of the past few days!:
  • I've borrorwed out the first 8 episodes (since it comes in 5 discs, and i borrowed the first and second disc so don't ask why I only have 8 episodes) of season one of GOSSIP GIRL! And I like it! Should totally be a song, so something like...I watched 8 episodes of gossip girl and I liked it...along to Katy Perry's 'I Kissed A Girl' tune and the part where is says "I watched 8 episodes of Gossip Girl" has to be sang quickly to fit the tune/music/rhythm.... cool huh? And I totally came up with the best idea ever while I was looking up if I spelled 'rhythm' right and that is...I shall write a song called "I watched 8 episodes of Gossip Girl" !!! Stay tuned for the lyrics ;) And I will keep watching Gossip Girl :)
  • Watched The Lovely Bones with Irene on Tuesday night. I loved it :) It's engaging, slightly dramatic, chilling, touching, sad, funny and just magnificent. I rate it 4 and a half stars out of 5. Would have gave it a 5 but the killer pissed me off and I still can't believe no one punched him in the face.
  • Was working the other day and saw one of the cutest thing ever. Since there weren't any customers, I was just watching the food court and I saw this old man who had these puffy cheeks. He just bought some chips from me and was sitting down and reading his paper. And then when he started eating...he was like munching each chip with his front teeth like a rabbit! So with the puffy cheeks, the munching and he had a bit of beard and his eyes were like practically popped out for some reason like he's staring hardcore at something...he really looked like a rabbit or a mice! Ahahah it was so cute I started laughing to myself :L
  • Finally downloaded some new songs!

That's pretty much all I can remember lol

Past, present, future?

Mmm...

Things have been going pretty fast and slow at the same time these days. Here's some stuff I did lately...

  • Work....okay that's not actually lately cos the last time I worked was on saturday. I miss it actually :S
  • Went bowling with my cousins. Got a membership I'll get discounted in the future :)
  • Been reading as well. I read the first book of Gossip Girl. I quite like it and I have to say some of the stuff that happened in the book are a bit ironic. But I shall look into the tv series :)
  • Watched some movies. Some movies I've watched recently: Sherlock Holmes, Caramel and Finding Amanda. Sherlock Holmes was alright. It had it's good parts but there were quite a few unneccessary scenes. Caramel is this Lebanese/French film about the lives of these women that works at this beauty salon. Not a bad movie, has a few funny moments and funny charactors but overall a bit boring, a couple really annoying characters and the ending was quite sudden. Finding Amanda is about this guy with a gambling problem which is messing up his marriage so he goes to Las Vegas to try and get his niece into rehab cos she's working as a prostitute. It a comedy so has a few LOL moments...but the story's a bit slow and dragged out and you can tell why it went straight to video. Starring Brittany Snow so worth a watch.
  • Been doing some drawings on Paint. Just scenories and I shall put it up here once I get some internet data.
  • Practiced guitar for once in a long time yesterday. Was strumming hardcore while playing the acoustic version of one of Blink 182 songs...when my pick fell in the guitar hole. Tried to get it out but my hand was too short so in the end I put some rolled up sticky tape on one of my drumsticks and got it out. Success :)

15 days till school start. Felt like I've wasted the entire holiday doing nothing and soon I'll be slaving away at school *sigh*. Before the holiday, I was day dreaming about all the stuff I wanted to do in the holidays. Such as working heaps of hours every week and getting big bucks, to have either an electric guitar or drum kit and seriously developing some skills, going to the park and playing soccer or running around getting nice and fit, watching Video Hits on saturday morings, being home alone and have the tv and computer all to myself, etc.

BUT...none of it really happened because I'm not working heaps every week. No guitar or drum kit cos I wasn't gonna just spend 2 months salary in one day. No going to the park cos don't really have anyone to go with or know anyone who even wants to get involve in physical activities and the weather's boiling. No Video Hits on saturdays cos I normally work on saturdays. And I never get to be home alone cos my brother's gym membership expired and now I have to see his face everyday :@

SO...instead of doing what I thought I'll be doing, I work an average of 3 shifts per week. I go out once or twice a week with friends. And spend the rest of my time at home either watching Las Vegas and movies I've borrowed that week, eating whenever I feel like, or going on the computer. Plus, I've ran out of internet data so lately I can't dowload new songs or go on internet much. Therefore, instead of going on facebook and myspace and playing online games and dowloading songs, I listen to the same list of songs over and over again (I don't really mind but new songs would be good) and play either minesweeper or solitaire for hours and drawing on Paint and going on msn. Seems pretty sweet comparing to school life but it gets boring.

Still dunno what I'm gonna do after high school. Somehow the real world seems a bit unreal at the moment. Probably because of spending too much time at school. So far my plan is: Say IF i get like a OP 1...which Im kinda doubting I will...I guess I'll get into surgery/medicine. And if I don't...I'm thinking about trying out for the Aviation course but I might not get in because I'm not doing physics and if i do get in, I might crash and burn because I didn't do physics. So...I guess I could get into the police force/army or become a paramedic. Or try and become a hot shot movie director or something in fashion.

But looking at those options...it seems a bit unrealistic because to become a doctor or a pilot it costs lots of money and looking at my number of hours and pay per week...I don't think I'll have enough to pay for the courses by that time...unless I get a scholarship or something. I could become a police officer/army soldier or a paramedic but my must-have-a-extremely-high-paying-job-in-order-to-make-life-worth-it ego gets in the way. And as for the movie director/fashion option...it is hard to get into the industry. So I guess I'll just hope that an absolutely brilliant idea would suddenly hit me one day soon.

However, I was reading Lure (free fashion magazine...yes, free) this morning and there was an interview on one of the fashion buyers for Globalize (clothing shop...apparently there isn't one in Brisbane or in QLD at all but hopefully one day there will be cos that shop looks goddamn awesome). And according to this fashion buyer...her job looks pretty sweet. So i guess I shall look into that.

Book Review

I just finished reading this book today called "Crossing The Line" by Dianna Bates. I thought I'll mention this particular book because it's quite different from all the books I've read before ( and i have read plenty just so you know *nerdy smile*). Let's start by telling you the plot. :)

The story's about this 17 year old (around that age) girl who's mum left her when she was around 5 yeard old. She was then taken in by this couple (I can't remember if they were her aunty and uncle or she sees them that way) but then one day they suddenly left her. Since then, Sophie (the girl's name) has been in and out of several foster homes and is under the tight watch of the child-care department. She've grown to not get too involve with the people around since she knows they'll eventually leave her like what her mother did. She does suffer from a lot of disappointments, loniness and hurt but she have ways of dealing with it. Things got better when the department located her to live with these two other people around her age, Matt and Amy. Sophie got along well with Matt and Amy and they've all soon became great friends. Sophie also started at a new school and is fitting in well. She's still seeing a therapist and the department have people to check on her regularly mainly because of her suicidal past. Sophie has gotten close to one of her therapist (or social worker whichever it was), Jan. Sophie had gotten attached to Jan because she feels that Jan truely cares about her and might just be that one constant person in her live. But Jan wasn't. She've left Sophie like everyone in Sophie's life had. Since then Sophie's gotten depressed and she's started cutting herself again. Somehow her therapist, Noel, found out and admitted her to the psych ward. It was in the psych ward when Sophie met Helen, her new therapist. Sophie soon discovered that Helen wasn't like any other therapists she've encountered; Helen made her feel comfortable, cared for and it seems that Helen actually listens to what she says. Sophie soon fell in love with Helen (not romantically, more like she loved her as if Helen's her mother) and Sophie's constantly thinking about her.

The way how Sophie craves Helen so much is probably why this story is different. From the books I've read, normally the troubled girl finds a guy she can confide in and then the guy helps her through all the tough times and finally the girl pulls through and lived happily ever after being trouble-free. But in this book, Sophie wanted Helen to be her motherly figure so much to a level you would say a tad disturbing. However, I don't wanna spoil the ending, but I wouldn't exactly say it had the perfectly happy ending but it created hope for Sophie. And she did found out there is and will be a constant person in her life which is Matt (her flatmate) who cares for her constantly but Sophie's fixation on Helen and wanting a motherly figure prevented her from seeing that during the novel.

Overall, instead of wanting to be with the guy, she wanted to be with the older woman due to the obsence of her mother during her childhood.
So, 'Crossing The Line', is definately worth a read. It get quite emotional and some parts can be a bit disturbing however, it's a great drama.

I rate it 4 out of 5 :D
So hurry up and get yourself a copy, people!

Oh I forgot...

Oh I forgot...we went to Off Ya Tree and afterwards Sarah commented about how emo and creepy the place was ... she thought she was gonna get raped by the chick that talked to us! :L:L:L sorry Sarah I just have to put it in :L HAHAHA

Oh and those pigeons we saw, the one Sarah said to 'F**k off' had orange eyes while Fatty had red eyes. I suggested that we poke the one with the orange eyes so it'll have red eyes too but Sarah said I might get infected with rabies to yea...

That's it I think...I'm very forgetfull :L

*cough* Fake Coffee *cough*

While hanging out at city today, Darby, Sarah and myself decided to just sit near those big silver balls outside the city library. There were pigeons hanging around us and there's this particular one, very fat and cute, which I named Fatty :)
Fatty was very friendly to us and hanged out we us while we talk about random things. It (dunno if it was a he or she...didn't really wanna check, haha) was just paddling around and eating stuff off the ground while we admire it. Well, only Darby and I liked Fatty. Sarah despised Fatty and all the other pigeons....she believe they have rabies and even told a pigeon to 'F**k off', LOL.

Before that, we were sitting in Broadway. I bought a cup of coffee...(okay they weren't coffee, they were hot chocolate but I thought coffee sounded really sophisticated because of what we were doing) and we were sitting at a small round table, me sipping my coffee (hot chocolate) and singing while listening to my iPod (must have annoying the heck out of Sarah and Darby but they were nice and didn't say anything, hehehe), Sarah was learning French on her iPhone while Darby was reading his comic book. From a another person's perspective...we probably just looked like a bunch of kids sitting and being bored...but from where I was sitting, I felt like we were college kids, very grown up-ish. :) I dunno it's just how my mind works. LOL

We also went into Allens Music, Darby and Sarah made a mistake from letting me go cos I spend forever there trying out the digital drum kits!!! Woop woop! One of the best inventions ever I have to say.

We kept with tradition by going Mandarin Paradise :)
And I also had sushi again. Yum yum yum :P

On the train back, there was this guy in a white shirt that kept looking at us. He was reading a book but the way he kept looking made us think he was eavesdropping...very suspicious :S
When Darby and I got off at our stop we were paranoid that he was gonna follow us :L But he didn't so thank gosh, haha.

That shall be all for today :D
Fairwell dearies !

Being Human.

While I was in JB Hi-Fi today, I saw this DVD, it was of the BBC show called 'Being Human'.
Here's a link so check it out first before continueing reading.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/beinghuman/

So it's a supernatural theme about three roommates, one's a vampire, one's a ghost and one's a werewolf. I find it rather intriguing, despise the fact there's so many vampire related tv shows/movies/books these days ><
I blame twilight btw! I mean since twilight, there's so many copycat vampire books which turned into tv shows/movies. So the vampire theme just isn't exciting anymore :(

So back to Being Human. I would've bought the DVD since it was only around $20 for a two-disced complete first series DVD. But since my dear mother is completely against buying DVDs (cos we can just get it from the video store or something *roll eye*), I didn't get it incase I have to put up with a lecture. So i guess I can search for it at my local video shop and hope they have it.

I also saw the ABC show 'Kick'. I actually watched this show when it was showing on tv :D
And I loved it so check it out if you haven't.

Oh and I had more sushi today. Hehe *satisfied*

New Decade.

First post in the new decade...let's have a moment of silence please, to cherish this grand new era. :)

Okay, so new years. Been average for me, I don't feel any different (not that I'm suppose to but yer whatevs), haha. I have to say the highlight of my first day in the new decade would have to be webcam. I, Jade, finally discovered the wonderfulness of communication through the technology (not including phone/internet) of WEBCAM! :D
Pretty awesome!!
