NYE Day Out

NYE day out summary:

Went out today with 3 of my awesome as friends, Darby, Karen & Sarah to City/Southbank. We didn't decided to all hang out cos it's New Years Eve. It just happens to be the last day of the year :)

Highlights of the day~
-playing R-rated truth or dare on the train with sarah's awesome as phone. Haha.

-Seeing 2 fire trucks at Southbank. We were walking to Imax when we heard the sirens and see them being pulled up next to us. There wasn't actually a fire, just something with the emergency fire control panels located on the side of the buildings. But still, we acted like tourists and took photos of the trucks and the firemen. Hehe :P

-And we saw police officers as well :)

-And bodyguards at the pub. (Y)

-We went to HMV and I picked up free magazines..yes, I do have a fetish for free magazines.
And Karen decided to try out one of those CD tester thingys with massive headphones. Which resulted in her not being able to hear what we were saying. So, Sarah, Darby & myself decided to punk her while she stands there looking confused :L

-Going into Broadway and spending half an hour at the T-shirt shop. It was fun only fun for Darby & I. For the other two, they had fun at the ten gazillian shoe shops :S

-Darby & I beating Karen & Sarah to the bottom floor of Broadway from the top floor. We took the elevators while the other 2 took the esculators. :)

-Me having 2 salmon, avacado & cucumber sushi. Although the second one did not have cucumber in them ><

-Going to JB Hi-Fi cos that's a mad as shop

-We saw some creepy dude standing near the pedestrian crossings near Myer Center & Borders with a paper bag on his head. He had 2 holes cut out on the bag for his eyes and had writing on the bag. But we didn't see what it says. It was freaky.

-Nearly getting run over at the huge pedestrian crossings outside Central station. Everyone's already crossed and was just us standing in the middle :O What did we do? WE RAN FOR IT! Seriously scary experience.

-Saw the awesomest tattoos I've ever seen on this guy's arm. They were music notes in these cool as swirly pattern. (Y)

-Eating in general.

-Keeping with tradition by going to Mandarin Paradise (chinese takeaway shop at Central station) before hoping on our train. Going to Mandarin Paradise before getting on the train home was first established sometime during mid-2009 when one day we missed our train and was starving. We saw the shop and decided to get food there. So therefore, as of that day, we always go to Mandarin Paradise to make sure we are well fed and happy before we go home from city. :) So you can say it's a landmark in my books ;)

Overall, a pretty satisfying day. Gotta love Brisbane :)

Room? What room?

Funny as thing happened at work today:

Me: *to a customer* Hi, how are you?
Customer (middle-age lady with an accent): How much is a whole chicken?
Me: A whole chicken is $12.95
Customer: Okay, I'll take a whole chicken.
Me: $12.95 please.
Customer: *going through her purse and mumbled something (this was what I heard)* I'll take it...room...with me...
Me: *thinking "What the hell she just said? She wants to have it in her room? What?! This is getting weird!" so I asked her* Sorry, You wanted to have it with you in your room?
Customer: No, I want to take it with me.
Me: Oh, you mean you want it to be take away?
Customer: Yes, take away.
Me: Oh right, okay.

So therefore, while she was waiting I was trying not to laugh about the room thing LOL. Guess it was part of my fault there...haha.
And I worked 7 hours today which is pretty awesome...and tiring. =)

Christmas yesterday. I got $250 (which can help with half of my electric guitar =D), a bumblebee magnet, a set of earphones and a Make-Your-Own music box.

The annual Victoria Secret's Fashion Show was on christmas eve. =D
I have to say this year's lingerie design and stage design and theme was better then last years. The disappointing bit was the million dollar bra, which they didn't make a big deal about and it looked like waffles to me :S
And the fact Adriana Lima and Karolina Kurkova weren't in this year's show was disappointing as well :(. And the show was pretty short with only 3 or 4 sets of designs/themes. And not much of an ending. But Black Eyed Peas' perfermance was great, although they only performed twice.
So overall, it has got disappointing bits, but it's still the best/top/most glamorous fashion show ever! :) And some of the new models are pretty good. And my fav, Alessandra Ambrosio was superbly gorgeous as always :)
So love love love VS Show !! :)

That shall be all for today :)
so as the french says, au revoir!

Had a very pedo experience yesterday...
Went to garbo with a dear friend of mine to do some christmas shopping and I've decided to go have a look at electric guitars at Music Express. The salesman came up to me and asked if I needed any assistance and I told him I was just looking. So he went away for a bit, I did as well to go look at some music, and when I came back to the guitar section, the guy came over and asked me if I needed any assistance now. So I said yes and started to ask him some questions, however during mid-sentence, he interrupted me and asked me if that is an Elmo shirt that I'm wearing. WTF!! I was thinking "What the hell's he doing looking at my shirt!". That may not sounded like a big deal...but, I had a vest over the shirt and the word "Elmo" was pretty low on the shirt so yea. PERVERT! ><
And he's also a dickhead of a salesman cos when he asked me if I was buying a guitar today or just having a look and I answered just having a look, he just turned away and walked off. >:(

And also, that email from this "Tessy" person freaked me out so bad and I thought it was a pedo...which it probably is :S

So that was my pedo experience....

On another subject, I bought a rainbow suspender yesterday from JayJays for $1 !!! SCORE!! :) Sweet buy :)

Work is pretty fun these days. And I've mastered the art of cardboard boxes (e.g. chip boxes) so now I can make them with one hand :)

Other than that, not much stuff happening.
ciao.

:D :) :P

Been about a couple weeks since I participated in the world of blogging.
Probably because I haven't done anything lately.
But I feel that it is important to have regular posts so my viewers are entertained :D
So, ladies and gents...here's a post for your pleasure :)

Let's update on work. Lately I've been getting alone well with my boss. Which I would consider a pretty good improvement :)
And I no longer have 7 hours a week. I now get around 14 hours (which still isn't a lot) but we do have quite a lot of staff for a store like ours. So I guess I can't really complain.

Apart from work, there really isn't anything I've done lately worth mentioning. Apart from the fact I watched the Grand Final of W-League (women soccer) today. It was Brisbane Roars vs Sydney FC. Sydney FC won 3-2. It seemed that Brisbane Roars was gonna win cos they were leading 1-0 at half time. But Sydney FC score 3 scores in the second half...which won them the championship :)
I didn't go for a particular team.
And I found out that one of the girls from Sydney FC was someone that I've seen from a State Futsal Team tryout once back in the days. Well I didn't made the team that time :( But congrats to her for making it big.

Topic on everyone's mind these days : Christmas.
Well my plan for christmas is to but myself an electric guitar :)
Perhaps that way my dream of being in a band will become more realistic
ha ha ha.
Still need to change the band name. And need more members...anyone interested...just myspace/facebook/msn/comment me :)

Other stuff on my 'christmas list':
-A jigsaw puzzle (500 pieces ones would be appropriate, I got a 1000 pieces one before...lets just say I lost it *cough* ) because I believe that'll help stimulate my grey matter during the holiday since I'm not being educated :)

-Some new shirts

-A how to speak French book. Since I'm planning on being fluent enough in French so I can read the French version of Harry Potter :)

That'll be all I guess haha.

And I also need to take a trip to the library since soon I'll finish re-reading all my Sweet Valley High novels.

I'm obsessed with lyrics lately. (L) (L) (L)

Been very bored these days. And craving food cos our cupboard's alway's empty ><><
But I do feel like playing soccer after watching that game today. Got me very motivated. So a trip to the park is also good.
Park date anyone? or not... haha

Peace y'all
stay tuned :)

I'm rather pissed about the number of hours I get a week for work. 7 hours...7 FREAKING HOURS! Am very not happy about this. I mean I reckon I should get at lease 12 hours minimum per week...and 40 maximum since it is the holidays. But considering where I work and who my boss is I guess I'll be lucky to get 15-20 hours max... >< FML

Bad thoughts aside, yesterday, I suddenly developed a interest in the Northern Light or more scientifically Auroras. Which are green/purple/red lights displayed in the sky which is more visible at night times. So i was researching it up on wikipedia last night (yes, researching while on holidays) and I found some awesome scientific facts :D
Ok, for one, the Northern Lights normally appears in the Northern Hemisphere, hence the name Northern Lights. It can been spotted in the northern islands of Canada because it's close to the North Magnetic Pole. But it can also be seen near Antartica where the Southern Magnetic Pole is located.
Auroras are created when the Earth's upper atmosphere (full of oxygen and nitrogen) and when solar wind rushed through, the nitrogen and oxygen atoms either become stabled or return to a normal state. And whichever they become, determines what colour the light is produced.....exciting stuff hey!
And I also found out that the word "Aurora" is the name of the Roman Goddess of Dawn...which got me hooked onto Roman mythology which is seriously intriguing. Kinda make me wanna do ancient history next year but when I think about the history teachers at school I changed my mind.

So it's like the third day or something and I'm still sick ><
which sucks a lot. But I'm hoping it's be gone by wednesday (yn)

And another thing...let's make it very clear...I DO NOT LIKE FARMVILLE! So please stop sending me crap on farmville. Thank you for cooperationg :)

peace y'all
stay tuned :)

Zombieland (Y)

So I went to watch the movie 'Zombieland' yesterday at Grand Plaza. I have to say that is the best movie I've seen so far this holiday. It was totally digusting with zombies covered in blood and have blackened flesh between their teeth running around eating people alive but the sick humour of the movie was just FREAKING HILARIOUS!!!
For those of you who havent seen it, this movie, starring Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson and Abigail Breslin, is about these four people trying to survive in the land of zombies. I'll try not to get into too much details...but I would just like to add that I'll give this movie 3 and a half stars out of 5 so everyone go watch it..NOW!

Oh and the word of the movie would have to be 'Shitstoned' :D it's shit-stoned not shits-toned for those who are wondering. I forgot in what context the word was used in but Im guessing it could be any....

E.g...
-could be a describing word...
'That's one shitstoning ad' - could be a good or bad ad.

-could be a doing word...
'Dude, stop shitstoning that thing' - could be a good or bad action

-could be just a random word to say in awkward silences...
'Shitstoned...'-which will gurantee to have everyone thanking you for breaking the silence (Y)

Yea you get my drift :)

Btw, yesterday was my first time being at Grand Plaza...yes, believe it or not...and I actually quite like the place with it's massive food court :) despise the fact that I heard the place was fully bogan...which it isn't =)

And today i worked pretty much all day...planning to be just watching dvds through the night :) pretty shitstone aye ;) <-- see, example use of word right thurr! :D LOL

anyways peace y'all :)
stay tuned for future blogs :D

HOLIDAYS!!

Dearest Blog,

okay...let's run down on what I've been up to in the first few days of the holidays...

Saturday (29th Nov.): Had work in the morning...pretty much a drag but at night I went to...FULL CONTACT ALL GIRL ROLLER DERBY!!

Before I get into details, I would like to thank my favourite future cousin in law, IRENE, for taking me to this rather intriguing event. :)
So, when we (Me, Irene, my cousin and a friend of theirs) first arrive at the venue (Beenleigh Arena), the place was pretty much packed...of gothic looking people and a lot of tattoo covered people and homosexuals. And since us being a group of extremely observant asians, we looked around to see if there were other asians around...there were only about two. LOL
Anyways, we paid, got a stamp on our hands and walked in to find a spot. The game was between the Sun State Roller Girls and Northern Brisbane Rollers. I've decided to go for the SSRG since they are the yellow team :)

It started with a live band playing while the teams were warming up. The teams then skated around the 'ring' as an introduction. then it was GAME ON!! NBR was leading at first but then i think SSRG was just too good or something so they started smashing NBR...and by half time, we were leading well ahead.
When second half began, NBR begin to have a comeback but after an intensive, brutal, semi-violent, thrilling, adrenalin-filled, loud cheering by fans second half....the SSRG WON!!! =D

My fav SSRG players were:
#14-Christy Demons-awesome jammer and blocker
#12-Rose Ruins-great jammer
#117-Chop Chop-fast skater, great jammer
#45-Cookie Cutter-like Chop Chop, is a great jammer
#0-Kinky Rinky-love the name
#10-Mad Hatter-best blocker
Look it up on their website! www.sunstaterollergirls.com
Even though I didn't go for NBG i reckon #5-Sweet Enemy deserve a mention for being a fiesty blocker :)

Irene and I loved roller derby so much, we've decided to become a groupie by buying their bandanas :D
All photos on my facebook if you wanna have a look :)

Sunday: originally had nothing planned but got a call from my boss at 11:30 asking me to work at 12 to 3 so i said yes. But ended up covering someone else's shift so worked til 5.

Monday: watched dvds all day and went on internet all

Tuesday: Movie day at Imax. Watched New Moon...pretty funny movie i reckon, some parts are quite corny :L LOL and 2012 which was not as scary as i thought it'll be and it was quite funny too :) Said bye-bye to Irene cos she' leaving for Indonesia the next morning. Bon Voyage!

Wednesday: dvds and internet in the morning...work in the arvo.

Thursday (today): starting to develop a cold ><
havent done anything much so far apart form dvds and interent :) ...
Been surfing the itune store for Apps. Have decided that i wanna get an itune card to i can upgrade my ipod to 2nd generation. :) Need to get new earphone as well...my one's breaking! :(

So, as I'm concluding this blog and sipping the last of my honey and lemon tea....
peace y'all!
stune tuned :D

Buurrrrrrrr

Time: 10:17pm

I've realised my blogging time's normally pass 10 at night since most people seems to be not very talkative on msn at this time of the day...

So anyways, let's quickly update on what had happened since the last time I've blogged.

Firstly, Semi formal!! It was alright i reckon. Music/DJ was crap, food arent the best BUT everyone looked so pretty! and that just made the night awesome I guess...so kudos for everyone that attended :D

Secondly, holiday have started!!!! WOOP WOOP WOOP!!!

Thirdly, I've joined the QIP program.

And lastly...I'm now doing drama instead of furnishing for senior years.
This is mainly due to lesson collisions.

Anyways...I've been watching the tv series Kyle XY lately. It's pretty cool I reckon. I'm quite glued to it.

eh...suddenly didn't feel like blogging...so, next time.

peace ya'll
stay tuned yea?
(:

11:21pm (21/11/09) funny how the time and date this blog is posted is so alike

It's currently 10:25pm as im writing this...

I am a bit tired...mostly from watching too much tv today...so i've decided to write a blog.
ha ha ha my range of recreation activities are so broad :P

well you're probably wondering what i did today (or not) but i'll tell you anyways, for those interested. :D
got up pretty late....for once in ages i get to sleep in. Woop! :D
had breakfast..got a call from dad
and the rest of the day is just a combination of tv/movies, myspace/facebook/online training/emails/blog, eating/more eating, drawing and rocking out to my loud speakers :D
what a sweet life it tis!
......
anyways, finished watching The Polar Express an hour ago for the first time...it's quite inspiring in a way, kinda make me wanna believe in Santa again :D
Watched Ghost Rider for the second time today...love that movie...Eva Mendes is hilarious (:

A thought came across me in the pass few days. Some of you might know that i have decided to be a pilot a few weeks ago. Well I kinda changed my mind (typical) when I've realised doing Physics is essential to become a pilot.
So, I've been considering on doing a dual degree when I leave school. Bachelor of Medicine/Surgery and Bachelor of Arts majoring in Film/Television, Drama or French.
At the University of Queensland of course (:
since I've been reading their undergraduate handbook like a bible for the last few months...every since the career expo.
I reckon that this dual degree will suit me since I find myself to be quite a natural in science and I do love film/tv, drama and french.....What do you think??

It's most likely that I'll change my mind again...but meh

However I have got my mind set on doing the following subjects for my senior years:
English (OP)
Math B
Chemistry
Geography
Film, Television and Media
Furnishing
and Work Prep. first semester

It it quite sad that I'm dropping drama :(
but it could be for the best.

Btw, is it just me or christmas seems to be here really early this year?
I mean it's november and all these christmas movies are already being shown on tv, pretty much all the shops are already decorated with christmas stuff, Santa's already taking wishes from little kids at the mall and heaps of people are having christmas parties already....
Mmm....could be interesting.

Should've blogged about this two days ago....but anyways...GLEE IS AWESOME!
I LOVE that show and pretty sure everyone would agree ...
we (my friends and I) loved the show so much, we even dedicated part of our soap opera to it (the Hudsons scene) :L:L:L
For those of you who dunno, we're filming a soap opera in drama (well we've finished filming the other day so yer). One of the best effing creation ever made I reckon (Y) It's called Uni Life, if you're interested, ask me about it ;)

Okay back to Glee, one of the best shows EVER.! full stop. (: Quinn's the best! Puck's awesome, Principal Figgin's one of the most hilarious character ever, so's Sue. When Rachael sings, she's better then then the song's original artist. (=
Taking about shows, I am still rather pissed about how channel 10 cancelled Beverly Hills 90210 ( the remake). I honestly don't get why a lot of people think it's crap but I personally think it's a good show, not just because of the people in it, but it had a pretty good storyline and it's a funny show too.
America's Next Top Model is another one that got cancelled. >< tsk tsk

Anyways, that's all I've got to say today.
Peace y'all!
Remember! Stay tune for future blogs! (:

p.s it's now 11:19pm...took me nearly an hour to write this blog :O
but i was half listening to Keira Knightley declaring her love to Orlando Bloom in Pirates of the Carribean so you can't say I type slow :P

My Day (20/11/09)

Friday today! Yay!

well today's the yr 12 graduation...which is sad seeing them leave :(
yes, although i don't actually talk to any of the yr 12s however, since they're part of the school, i have been seeing them for the past 3 years and they are familiar people so yea it's a bit sad
and then in soccer we had to stack up all the chairs and carpet >:(
but then we get leftover cakes :D

I left school early to sign some traineeship contract at work...
my manager said it should take a while so by the time it finished my shift would start...
he was wrong.
so instead of being at school, i was sitting in Shingle Inn (cafe) with my mother while she talks about things :S

But work went quite good
I truly believed that my fridge stocking skills has improved since I've started work...which is like two weeks ago... :D *proud*

So now since im on the computer...and i always look at the window infront fo me occassionally, and atm...since it's night like there's geckoes on my window.
i think it's cos of the lighting or something but those geckoes looks kinda see through and one of them has these round things inside it's stomach...i think it's its babies....

EWWW? gross? WTF?
my thoughts exactly.

peace y'all! :D
stay tune for future blogs from Jade! :D
